Memorandum and Civil Lobby on Gender Equality Issues

With ALPE intitation and Ombuds office active involvment, under the EC supported project „Education for Tolerance“ (DDH/2006/117-657) the Memorandum on coordination of activities on Gender isues was signed by more then 15 active gender organisations and individual experts. The undersigned organisations took an obligation to coordinat their efforts and work jointly on ellaboaration of reccomendations on improvement of gender situation in the country.
Based on the Memorandum, the united Civil Lobby on gender issues was created under the Ombuds office. The formation of civil lobby is planned for late spring 2009, at the same period the joint action plan will be elaboarated, based on which the lobby will draft common recommendations for the goverment.
