Judicial Ethics and Society

The Conference of Judges adopted a Code of Ethics on 23 June 2001. The Code covers all aspects of judicial practice and ethics and was drafted by ALPE, the ABA and the Department of General Courts of Georgia. ALPE subsequently published the Code in two formats - a poster which was sent to all judges in Georgia and a booklet which included commentaries by a judge of the Supreme Court. This book is currently used in the training courses on Judicial Ethics run by the ABA and Judicial Training Centre.
